Why can't Americans just be nice? Honestly made me sad reading the comments about Trump dying. Is the left and right actually real?

Americans suffer from toxic individualism.
It's the disease which makes them think they they are so important that the gubmint wants to get them so they need guns to protect themselves. It's also the same disease which makes them invent a new gender and a new oppressed group every day. They can't talk to each other without lawyers.

When you spend a few generations telling children that they're here to change the world they all tend to get a real fucked up sense of their own importance in the grand scheme of the universe.
The source of main character syndrome is literally the vomit ideology the educational system has been pushing since the 90s and runs rampant through millenial and gen Y individuals. Gen Z is about a 50/50 rejection level of most of it and Gen X grew up on hose water and neglect so they don't really have the problem.
