If you go back to the founding of Israel, many of the zionist settlers claimed they were doing it to fulfill their own prophecies. Jews could have gone many other places, they chose this because it's religious, plain and simple.

On the other hand the motivation for the Palestinians is defensive in nature and self liberation or ousting an occupier and invader. Israel has from the beginning wanted to resettle them as far as possible, specifically in Europe. Israel and the United State's action in the middle east, particularly the Arab Spring and regime change of half the middle east, using ISIS to permanently destabilize countries created the migrant crisis that displaced millions of muslims.
