But to answer your question, its not that they love Russia per se, they are simply against the current world order and Germany's role in it. And since Russia is against it, it is naturally considered an ally in this regard. You don't have to love a country to see how its political actions could be useful to your cause. Iran and Russia do not love each other either, but both somewhat complement each other's global aspirations, at least for now.
