he wasn't a self hating jew. stop feeding the confusion with ignorance. the false jews he was confronting were the self hating ones. they had denied their Hebrew heritage in favor of being members of foreign nations and empires. him being from Judea as well as the Edomite sadduces and pharisees is irrelevant in light of the idea of being spiritual children of either God or some other god. their father had become the devil, and not the God of Abraham. they were descended from him, but were not in his image and did not do or act as he would have. Christ stated that Abraham wouldn't have a problem with what he was saying and doing, therefore neither should they.
Judea was a place that had been occupied and ruled by Rome. they forced each nation to assimilate to the empire. in doing this the people of Judea, those with any relation to the Hebrews and Israelites had lost touch with their forefathers. they had once again become lost and of the world. hence what Jesus was saying about sheep. and the reason why he was so pissed off at the merchants, its because they turned the temple where they would maintain a spiritual connection to their Father and God into a place to sell things. keep in mind, they were occupied by Rome.. and empires are very big on markets and trading. its why they had lost touch with their God, they had become imersed in the systems of the Roman Empire. and so instead of Jesus directly confronting the frickin empire.. he instead went after who should've been his own people, and not just anyone, but the authoritative ones that make legal decision under the authority of the Romans. and by gaining his following of Judeans that heard and saw the truth he spoke of, some of them went out and spread what we call the gospel or good news. and when people turned their hearts towards Jesus and The Father, when they chose that kingdom they denied the Roman empire its power. forcing them to become the papacy to survive.
