Just bring back mental hospitals
This is the right wing version of 'we need to ban guns'.
If we start doing this we will very quickly have millions of kids and tens of millions of adults locked in extrajudicial prisons. I see three massive problems.
1. A psychiatric industrial complex will develop around this where people's livelihoods depend on labeling people as insane. HR roasties that are losing their jobs to ai will very quickly become psych ward nurses. A medical deep state. The same doctors that handed out pills to children like candy to make money will now be able to lock them up, isolating them from normal socialization and development, permanently fucking them up and creating cash cows that they can milk for life. An argument could be made that these psychiatrists caused the problem with shooters in the first place overmedicating them as children.
2. Adolescents and teenagers go through a phase where they test boundaries. They will report kids they don't like just to see if they can get away with it and the teachers will go along with it to cover their ass. You think schools are producing conformist drones right now just wait until the threat of lifelong imprisonment looms over the heads of their students. Which leads into my third point.
3. This will be politicized. Stalin labeled people he perceived as a threat or even just sleighting him as 'mentally deficient' and shipped them off to siberia. You may think it is obvious that trannies are insane, but what happens when refusing to date a tranny in high school gets you thrown in the gulag.
tl;dr like most 'simple solutions' boomers and millennials trot out this is poorly thought out and will lead to disaster.
