They know that the aftermath of any violent takeover they implement (and the initial military overthrow will be easily accomplished) will be overly complicated if the populace remains heavily armed. The day to day will be difficult. So the ultimate goal is disarment. It may take them 20-40 years, to completely disarm (like Australia) but these cocksuckers are patient.

Normalization of remote schooling. Not home schooling. Zoom school. Leftoids are scared their kids will be shot. Rightoids are afraid their kids will be indoctrinated. In either case parents will accept eventual normalization of remote school just as they have accepted remote work and remote shopping to simulate what will essentially be a de facto permanent lockdown.

Not even shittalking - Why would they do that? It doesn't seem like most Americans even want to do any of the things the open gun access is supposed to be good for, like standing up to the government or corporations or overreaches by other groups. It's supposed to be kinda a smaller scale version of MAD, right? But while the people with power keep pushing down, a decisive reaction never comes, because the only MAD is, that the citizens know they would upend their own remaining normalcy and way of life if they pushed back, so they just don't. And in the end the guns get only used by mental cases and criminals, because they already don't have that.
