Eh, the system is designed to swindle stupid goys with promises of cashback and bonuses from using the credit card.
You could jew the system by using the credit card responsibly, not spending more than you would have from your debit card and paying back before the interest-free period is over.
I do that, and I have much more money saved than the average burger.

Looks like its just a shitty notification system. Its structured as a notification mainly for shutting down credit cards. Its designed to be helpful, because closing credit card accounts will in fact lower your credit score
>Inb4 rabbi shekelstein is scamming you into having a credit card
To some extent, but mostly its because your credit score counts how much credit you have access to and are using. Someone who maxes out their credit cards is obviously a bigger risk than someone who doesn't. Closing credit accounts means you have access to less credit therefore your same spending will use up more of the limit.

They arenโ€™t saying you might use your credit more. Theyโ€™re saying that your total available credit will decrease since this account no longer exists, so your normal monthly spending could amount to a higher percentage of credit utilized, and that can hurt your score. So theyโ€™re warning you and suggesting that if this might be a problem you could add an extra credit card to increase the total credit limit back to what it was with the car loan account still existing.

This. Requiring financial training was part of a settlement with credit cards years ago. The two factors mentioned which effect your credit score are closing your oldest account, and percentage of debt used. If you have a $10k limit on a card and you only have $100 on it, your credit score will be higher than if you have $9,000 on it. If you have a card with $0 balance you havenโ€™t used in 10 years and they close it due to inactivity, your credit score will go down because your oldest account has closed and because your percentage of credit used will go up (because that open line of credit no longer exists).

Overall though, if everyone paid their card(s) off every month, it would hurt them.

Hereโ€™s a basic toy example. Say I have 3 credit cards. They all have a $10,000 limit. I got 1 of them 10 years ago, one 5 years ago and one 2 years ago. Normally I pay off my cards every month, but at any given time I normally have about $3000 total debt on the cards. So Iโ€™m using 10% of my debt limit of $30,000 total at that time. Percentage of credit used is one of the metrics that goes into credit score. Average age of credit is too. So with those three cards, my average account age is 5.66 years and my credit utilization typically if I have $3000 outstanding on my cards most of the time is 10%. So if I were to close the 10 year old account like your car loan account has just been closed, now the average age would drop to 3.5 instead of 5.66 because the 10 year old account is no longer part of the average. And then even if I still spend $3000 a month on credit cards, since the total limit is now $20,000 instead of $30,000, the credit utilization percentage will be 15% instead of 10%. So both metrics got worse by removing the account. Youโ€™d be better off just keeping that card and never using it. So these messages are just a courtesy from the lender to remind you that scenarios like this are possible when accounts close, depending on the specific numbers, so this way you know to be on the look out or take steps to counter those possibilities. And btw the reason itโ€™s like that is just because those are two of the numeric values that are used to calculate credit scores and that just how the math worlds. This lender didnโ€™t do anything wrong specifically to you. If something is wrong then itโ€™s the design of credit scores.

I use it for my normal spending habits and pay off the balance.

that's why king nigger federalized student loans effectively guaranteeing them with the government and taking them off the banks balance sheets. this caused a surge in loans created which then pushes up price of liberal college propaganda brainwashing thus requiring more debt thus pushing the price up further and so on.
Same thing going on with autos. Once they can't push up the price any further, the insurance jew will be activated and premiums will start surging because of global heating or winter vagina or something.

It's hard out here... most people don't have financial literacy, and there's so many scams and stuff. I had to let all my cards lapse years ago because I was broke and had a kid... not losing the house trumped having some retards wanting 30% interest taking my money.

I'm doing better now, but fuck... even now.. I'm currently dealing w\ a card that just keeps going up. I balance transferred it previously, PAID THE TRANSFER OFF... so that card is 0... but the fucking card ( im a tard) that i xferred is back up to 4-5k. SO I'm about to xfer it to another card for 0% over 18mo and pay it down. My score is around 800, btw.

Edit : To follow up on this post... I just balance xferred nearly $5000 and it took me less than 5 minutes. I intend to pay it off in the 18mo 0% period, and hoping to zero out all accounts.

That's how I do it. I have a Michael's store credit card, for example. So many people were bitching about that card and calling it terrible. With this card, I...
>get 9% to spend in the store
>regularly get 30%/40% off offers for my entire purchases
>get random gift certificates
So why is this card so bad? I save a fuckton of money with it. Everybody online says it's so bad "bEcAuSe dUh iNtErEsT." Just pay your card off each month you goddamn mongoloids, yeesh. I have several cards I do this with. I don't know why paying off a balance each month is so difficult for people. If you know money is going to be tight, plan ahead and charge less.

Yes. If you pay off your balance monthly you accrue no interest. So it's literally free money if the cards offer cashback on purchases.

depends on the bank/country, but I get "bonus points", "bonus miles" and so on for using the credit card. These can generally be used to "cancel out" certain kinds of transactions.
Yeah, I monitor my spending, making sure it doesn't go above my budget and pay the debt back before interest would be accrued.

The notice is about your credit score, Anon. They are using a credit hit as a reason to try to convince you to keep the account open. If most of your other credit accounts are older than this one, then their second point doesn't apply. I wouldn't worry about their first point because of you are responsible, other cards will raise your limit automatically. In other words, unless this is an old account where you can benefit from taking a low interest balance transfer from a newer account, then you can just ignore it. I highly recommend using repeated balance transfers to lower your monthly interest though. Many of them are zero interest for 12 months or something like that.

If you don't improve your debt to income ratio (by taking on more debt) the jews will charge you more for health insurance, car insurance and homeowners insurance. If you have no credit history they will charge you the maximum amount allowed by statute because ironically because a lack of credit history can be seen as a higher risk. (Even though in reality having no credit history means you are among the most fiscally responsible.)
