>Jesus tells Pontius Pilate that his authority to crucify him was given to him by God, acknowledging the state's power.
I'm not speaking for the state. I'm speaking for myself. And my understanding of the Gospel.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again".
- Matthew chapter 7 verse 1-2.
>Paul states that the governing authority is "God's servant to execute wrath on the wrongdoer," implying the right to use the "sword" (a symbol of capital punishment).
We are not the apostles nor are we living in the time of their churches. The apostles and the saints of the first resurrection are kings and governors in the camp of the Saints.
We're at Revelation chapter 20 between verses 7-9, not before the second coming.
And another verse:
"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her".
- John chapter 8 verse 7.
GOD is not quick to wrath but is patient and so should we be.
