i don't have much use to offer the world. i have friends that i love, but i recently broke up with a long-term gf while in the midst of a manic episode and i just feel so bad (i'm diagnosed with schizoaffective bipolar). now that i'm out of the mania i regret so much. i haven't been taking my meds, either.

My little brother finally an heroed with a gunshot to the head in 2023. For about 20 years prior, he just sat in his bedroom, in the dark almost all the time, playing video games, or sometimes just laying down in the dark doing nothing but thinking and being miserable.
We all worried about him and wanted him to talk to someone about his problems, like a psychiatrist. He refused the whole time, even though he was clearly miserable and messed up. Then he did commit suicide all of a sudden while we, the rest of the family, were out seeing my mom's oncologist about her cancer.
What my brother did was very cruel to us, though I try not to blame him because I know he was suffering deeply.
Anyone with loved ones needs to take their loved ones into consideration when it comes to their mental problems or their decision to take their own lives. It's very cruel to people you love not to involve them and just ignore them when you know they're worried about you all the time.
