Iirc it was recently revealed the member of parliament are recieved the equivalent of 5k USD per month since last september, which give 60k yearly. To put it into perspective, the average indonesian yearly salary is 2200 usd. So basically the parliament has effectively been giving itself a yearly salary equivalent to 27 time the average Indonesian yearly salary. Also pretty sure that is a bonus that is in addition to their nornal salary.

Basically corrupt gov was shown to be insanely corrupt and effectively fattening the pockets of every complicit parliament member at the expense of the average citizen.
