Im a police officer
It’s my second day on the job and i arrived at a huge mansion and there’s no one home except one guy. Apparently he assaulted his wife and she has a black eye. Im all alone but because there’s clear evidence of a primary aggressor do I have to arrest him? Or do I ask the wife to press charges?

Officer. He's not a fault. He's suffering from heavy metal poisoning causing increased agression. If you check the kitchen you will find she's been slowly poisoning him by grinding small amounts of soft lead fishing weights into the green pesto.

Not only that, but I hear she puts it on lasagna,

Can you now, seriously say she didn't deserve it?

>Apparently he assaulted his wife
If you have probable cause he committed the crime of battery, you can and should make an arrest. That's your job. You don't need the wife to "press charges", as that's a civil suit (something she can do in addition to what you're supposed to do). In criminal matters, it is almost always the state that is pressing charges. What you need from the wife is testimony.

You did take some sort of officer training before you took this job, right? They did tell you about how criminal procedures work, right? Cause I'm not even a fucking lawyer and I know how this shit works.

lol, you rhink they hire cops for their intelligence? Or for their ability to follow orders and generate revenue? Cops don't even get good training any more, if they ever did. OP isn't a cop, he's a faggot. And if he was a cop he'd be a 90 IQ turbofaggot.
