umm actually true Christianity is the one that hasn't been tolerated by anyone else. Jews, Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, atheists and others have all murdered true Christians throughout history.

Rome infiltrated and corrupted Judea, sweetie. if you're family with the books within the Bible you'll see the common thread is the Hebrews are subjugated by one empire after another, but they survive their collapse and seem to play a role in the rise and fall of kings and leaders. but the major plot twist is, Jesus was very much fitting right into place with everything that happened before him. he was taking on the role of a heroic Hebrew who was so filled with faith in God that he was willing to face death for it and the covenant and kingdom. and the Sadduces and Pharisees and many of the Judeans of Christ's time had been corrupted by Rome and their systems of money. and so Jesus was trying to reach them in order to draw them out of the Roman empire.
because before Jesus, all these other pagan religions required sacrices made to their gods. the different empires the Hebrews were subjugated in worshiped either Ham or Japheth by various names, and obviously not Shem, their forefather. in Babylon they called him Marduk.
anyway, Jesus fits perfectly into the Bible, and the Jews who had the Romans execute Jesus had truly fallen away from their God. they had become the antagonists in their own story whereas Jesus remained true and taught and encouraged other Jews to do the same. some heard him, some didnt. and those who followed him and carried his message on were given the same fate. they were executed. they mocked him caling him the King of the Jews. the last King descended from David had his line ended when Babylon conquered Jerusalem. Jerimiah was wise enough to see it coming and tried to encourage the king to basically surrender and hope for mercy. and so Jesus was his heir but the Jews wouldn't have him, they'd rather do it the Roman way.
