Entanglement does not permit transferring information since the outcome of POVMs (positive-operator valued measurements) is non-deterministic as per the Born interpretation. Although there is information stored in the state, as can be calculated from the appropriate analogue to the Shannon information entropy, you are unable to actually transfer any non-predetermined message without resorting to some auxiliary deterministic communication channel that is still bound by causal geodesics (propagating no faster than the speed of light).
All of this becomes irrelevant if you accept the school of thought postulating a universal quantum state (wavefunction) but at that point everything else is also thrown out of the window since we would be no more than slaves at the whims of the cosmic demiurge.
