Not sure that's actually what people mean. For instance, a free Palestine could easily just mean support for a two state solution. I see both sides, personally. For Israel, with its much smaller population, 1400-odd people killed during the Al-Aqsa Flood is proportionally significantly bigger than 9/11 was for us. Israel was probably justified in going in and getting rid of Hamas. At the same time, what they're doing right now has moved past getting rid of Hamas and well into -- at the very least -- ethnic cleansing... and there's a good argument with the food/aid blockades for genocide.

Either way, Israel is now here. It's no one's place to arbitrarily destroy a nation. It's just that this applies to both Israel and Palestine alike. So... free Palestine, imo.

We are, and they are. But we were born here. Regardless of the injustices of our forefathers, we didn't have the choice of where to be born -- we just were. Remember that this is the strongest claim anyone can have... it's the basis of the entire "blood and soil" movement in all its historic permutations.

The Americans already wiped out natives, it can't be undone, even the few natives left are very mixed with whites.

In israel not only are they still doing it right now, but the Palestinians have largely been exiled so the people who were robbed are still there to claim their land.

Furthermore dual citizenship is common in israel, and those lack it can easily get citizenship to a number of western countries.

So there isn't a reason israel can't undo their colonial actions right now.

Furthermore the Palestinians are desperate so it would be quite easy for israel to capitulate under the conditions that jews get to stay and keep most stolen property save for the very new stuff on the west bank.

The people of gaza would easily accept that, that is the only Palestinian city fighting israel right now since the west bank is already run by the idf.

This is a good argument and I don't have much in the way of rebuttal, to be honest. My suggestion for a two-state solution comes mostly from the utility. It may not be the end state of the region, but it does seem like a plausible way to give Palestinians a degree of legitimacy they sorely need while also giving Israel an opportunity to accept (or be forced to accept) the least-bad option which represents a basic minimum from a human rights perspective. I don't see a two-state solution as a "wash you hands and go home; it's over" kind of thing but a rational first step.
