I’m a progressive and I think bodycams are great. When a cop does something wrong? He pays for it. When the cop didn’t do anything wrong? He doesn’t. It ends frivolous lawsuits, makes legitimate ones that much easier to win, stops any excuses about ‘but I wuz afraid of da blind paraplegic so I hads to mag dump’ while also defending the justified use of force in emergency situations.

It's worked well both ways. Cops following procedure are vindicated. Pigs on a power trip get exposed.

The bonus situations are when you run into the bizarre shit. Saw a video where a guy pulled over a stolen vehicle that belonged to a missing person. They found the missing person dead in the trunk of the car a fucked up. Cop had to take a breather.

What's funny is when it starts charging you can hear it make a gorilla type roar.

Also, bodycams have done a real horror to America. American police are now basically robots that know if they ever say something politically charged or violate a rule they might get fired. Hence you will never be able to have a genuine conversation with one while they're on duty.
