Most jobs are pointless. Honestly, if I was a graduating high school or college senior and I wasn’t on a clear track to become a high end professional like a Harvard trained lawyer, or even if I was just someone in need of a job, I would just try to take the comfy jobs Mexicans were working. I’d pack my shit, drive out to farm and ranch and country, and try to work ranches. It would be tough work, sun up to sun down, but at least I wouldn’t want to kill myself because of my dead end job. Hell, I work in construction, as a bartender, any sort of lower status job that I wouldn’t absolutely despise. And whatever free time I had, I’d be trying to hit the lottery with content creation, streaming, making art, writing, starting a business, whatver.

I mean, the simple truth is that only about
5% of jobs can even get you ahead financially and you’re competing with the entire world for them. The other 95% will go nowhere and pay you just enough to have to keep working jobs like that forever. Fuck that. Why bother? If all it gets you is surgical, well you can do that with a part time job or working construction or whatever. When I see college kids taking out six figure loans to become data analysts and other wagie functionary shit that will see them slaving away in similarly miserable shitty jobs forever I just scratch my head.
