If we actually prosecuted drug trafficking as an act of war to destabilize our borders and society how would the cartels survive? Cocoa and poppies have to be grown, precursors have to be synthesized and transported this can be watched 24/7 by satellites and drones. All behavior of people interacting with the fields and who those people interact with can be mapped with data analysis. All south American electronic communication can be sifted through and drones can eliminate the Narcoterrorist where ever they may be. With out due process and the removal of CIA using them to move money around there is no reason the organizations couldn't be dismantled effortlessly. It is just a supply chain with no air defense at all.

No, and we should. They kill 77k of us a year with Fentanyl alone. Other drugs and over just 4 years you have more deaths than all US soldiers in WW2’s 4 years. This conflict is just as deadly for us as the greatest war in history but it is totally one sided. Doesn’t America feel worn down a bit?
