In my 40's.
I am single, no family of my own to raise.
Have endured 5+ year relationships that were almost marriages until their friends made them believe being a whore was a better choice, they all became single mothers.
Forced to give up 2.5 weeks pay to have a roof over my head.
No free time to enjoy life.
No money left to enjoy life.
Too financially strained now to even think about a family let alone dating.

The last few years have been an identical cycle of hoping for change but things only continue to get worse. My tax dollars go to people that hate me for the color of my skin. I am looked at like an outsider in my own town now. My pubic spaces have been invaded. I am educated, I was motivated, but I see there is no light at the end of this tunnel. I am simply checking out from life. Friends are fake, women are fake, the phone only rings when they need something and I'm over it. This is only my story, but there are many more like it.
