accepting the inconvenient
Data is starting to come out ranking summer temperatures.
Japan recorded the hottest ever June and July; China has reported its hottest summer ever; and the UK is on pace for its hottest summer.

There's two ways to cope with all of this data:
1) deny the data's accuracy, in which case all we have is anecdotal reports
2) deny the data's relevancy as happening over too short a time span, which means accept the paleoclimatological record but not what climatologists are telling us about it
3) accept the warming but attribute it to something else, like the sun, in which case you should be able to produce papers saying it is the sun, which make predictions about future warming.
Finally, (4) you can accept what is inconvenient; the earth as a whole is warming, and the warming is caused by industrial scale use of fossil fuels.
Once you accept the "official narrative," there should be ever reason to support policies that get is off of our dependence on fossil fuels as soon as possible. That means supporting nuclear, solar, wind, geothermal and hydro depending on the location. Side benefit: reduce the power of the gulf states and Russia.
