At this point, all I need to survive is a kettle and access to water. Having a lot of shelf stable food is actually pretty great.

I have grains too which I just buy and store for 2 years.

But I also grow a ton of kale and tomatoes and other crops in the garden and have more than I can ever use.

Get stock tanks they are perfect for gardening.

survive? probably. thrive? not a chance. however, with one of these actual likehacking devices you can prepare several portions of good food like stew or just chicken legs/thighs, rice, chickpeas and beans etc, in 1/4 the time of regular open pans, and far less time than your half soaked slop.
