We need to to move away from the word "white". We need an ethnically indicative word that is more cultural and specific than white, something similar to Hispanic.

Obviously, for those of a specific ethnicity you would be English-American, Slavic-American, etc. But for the mutts, what is a better word than white?

Would Celto-Germanic be it? Aren't White Americans mostly just a mix of Celtic and Germanic?

Other options: Anglo-Celtic, Anglo-Norse, Nordic-Germanic, Norse-Gael, Italo-Celtic, Mountain Celt/Euro (for Appalachian Euros, equivalent to Jungle Gook), etc. How about Amerikaner? (similar to Afrikaner)

The point is to atomize/delineate from other people who identify as white. Smash universalism/assumed group representatives which comes with white.

The word "white" is a big problem! It takes on religious undertones, like a secularized form of universalized christendom with embedded christian monotheism/good vs evil, universalism/group representatives, savior figures, concept of sin and set commandments. Leftists think that if they self-identify with that word it magically deifies them as the representatives and spokespersons of "all the whites" (including every sub-type of European) and they can hold other people they label white to their commandments of behavior/sin.

Every self-identified white person in government, HR, police, universities, etc sees themselves as acting as a universal representative of white. They feel empowered to act against white to signal their piety. They feel as a white person they have power over you (they can hold you up to their set commandments of white behavior).

It should make you want to vomit to think other people believe they can identify with a color descriptor and then there is no difference between the two of you. Atomize/delineate and they lose all their assumed power. Would a standard "white" person think they can identify as white and then become the spokesperson/representative/judge of the behavior or jewish people, for example?

Get used to saying:

No. There are tons of white Americans descended from the original English colonists and a lot of them don't even know they are English/Anglo because it's been so many years. There are people who call themselves Irish but are actually Anglo.

In addition, tons of Americans with Italian heritage, even though Italian population is small, a lot of people have some Italian ancestry. In places like Chicago and the northern midwest, there's a lot of Polish ancestry and just general eastern european heritage. You get down to Cajun whites in Louisiana and there's a decent amount of French heritage.

Even growing up in Missouri I've had multiple friends with historically French surnames. There are also Swedish descended Americans (though maybe that falls under Germanic?).

Point being, there's no better inclusive term than White. And for what it's worth, heritage Americans in the southwest who are descended from the Spanish are white as well. I've met plenty of people from New Mexico who are essentially half Spanish half German and they look white af just with brown hair
