Is home ownership a dying dream?

Why not build more homes outside of your major cities? Australia has so much empty land.

People refuse to live outside the major cities.
Even the outer suburbs are too much for some.

Yes. The next decade will be the last few years home ownership will be slightly possible. After that the gentry will be established forever.

As long as banks are allowed to create credit, the housing market will NEVER go down, with only exception of an authoritarian rule to make them depreciated assets, so people aren't incentivized to buy them as investments but rather to fucking live in only.
Anything else is just BS

For the same reason WFH was shutdown
>landlords can't pay mortgages because people aren't renting
>banks are mad because they need that sweet interests as it's the only real money in this ponzi scheme
>gov is also mad because they want people pay higher taxes in crowded areas (property taxes, insurances, etc), also it means gov don't have to make rural areas good for living with new infra
Normal people would go live outside cities, but the apex predators in this food chain don't, and want you living neighbor with niggers and poos because it make them more money

Only in the sense that real estate investors are buying up everything so they can charge you more, and charge you again.

No one thinks they'll ever afford to buy a house in their twenties. You need stable dual income and by your early to mid-30s you'll be able to do it. 70s and early 80s inflation hit hard. My parents had like a 12% mortgage rate and both worked full-time and bills were always tight until they hit their forties.

Taxes in some of these regions in the US are more than most people's rent though.
