Iβve been to Japan, Hong Kong during the protests, and know people from Taiwan and the mainland. Japan has a post-war US-occupied government, and despite some reservations I have about their political actions (a Jew meddling in the constitution and more Jews pushing immigration) itβs a pretty nice place to live. Everyone I know from Taiwan is friendly and enjoys their lives there.
When I was in Hong Kong, a typhoon had blown the smog in from Shenzhen and it was absolutely vile. It took me days to stop hacking up black crap. I canβt imagine living or visiting there under the current regime because of how they treat their people (especially just letting them get raped by pollution), and the fact that itβs legitimately possible for myself, as an American, to be kidnapped and disappear.
So for these broad reasons I think yes, it would be better. Would a revolution or other exchange of power be bloody and brutal in the short term? Most likely. Americaβs was. Would they be a US puppet government? Maaaaaaybe, but from what Iβve seen itβs really not that bad of a thing.
