Why did Romanians elect faggot as their president

I always thought of Romania as a very traditional country, yet they elected a „man” with a phenotype of a literal faggot. He looks like a Weakling, a slimy creature, very untrustworthy. In Poland we also had such a candidate of the same politician option, he also was such a type - very fake.
Are Romanians niggers? How can you do this to your own nation.
