Commieblock crisis
What can be legally done to stop developers from erecting more of these hideous bugpods for H1B imports? What legal means do we have to impede on current projects, shut down approved projects, and block future projects?

Actually most of America legally mandates that only the least efficient, most expensive housing is allowed. If you don't want to buy a whole pointless front and back lawn, you can't buy a home in 99% of America.

Right, NOT like that, we wanted single family homes to raise our families in. Not single-renter bugpods for migrant workers.

Maybe boomers should allow for more dense housing zones in or around their useless 2acre per lot suburbs?

No one's buying that shit from the US market, all the zones for housing in the US have more than enough land to build 2 - 3bdm rowhouses, small homes, etc.
It's a boomer problem they vote to keep the zoning laws strict around their houses.

You seem to miss the point entirely bugman, nobody WANTS to live like you do in a 10sqft box with neighbors either blaring Punjab’s Top 10 all night or killing the dog from that missing pet poster to make a Kung Bank Pao Gaong Qin Shi bowl.

It’s not too much to want to live in a state almost as nice as it was 10 years ago.

You can make large apartments in those buildings too. Think of having half a floor or a whole floor of that, plenty of nice usable space with windows and rectangular rooms.

The problem is with the foreigners brought in to occupy them.

For me the problem is having an abutting neighbor, but I understand some of you lifelong urbanites are addicted to being miserable. Even a white Christian neighbor with a loving family should be in their own home, apart from my home, not joined to it and to 40 others. It’s a demeaning lifestyle that was, prior to ~2020, only meant for young single up-and-comers or for families that lost everything on sports betting and had to start over. 99% of people who didn’t grow up in a ghetto would prefer to have a detached single-family house. But nobody’s building them anymore, because these bugmen blocks are cheaper, and you urbanite cucks keep gobbling it up.

I think young people should have the ability to move to cities with economic activity and other young people instead of rotting and having their talents wasted in dying small towns as foreigners get preferential treatment for housing.

You know, how things worked from the 1920s to the 2000s. Internal migration is good, actually.

Boomers don’t own the land retard, the towns do, and the towns always sell to bugmen block developers instead of building single family homes because they’d rather collect more tax revenue from piling boards of foreigners into a box than by allowing their own lifelong residents to enjoy the nice peaceful town it once was

Having space between my neighbors and I is a public safety feature. I don't want to smell what my neighbors are cooking. I don't want to share walls with my neighbors. I don't want the building's ventilation system to pump my neighbor's farts and flu into my dystopian housing unit. I don't want to live a couple floors above the grocery store where I will be expected to shop. I don't want the financial firm that owns the housing development spying on me with their AI surveillance cameras and their smart technology. I don't want the rules of the building to mandate certain behavior out of me, like compliance with the latest "vaccines" (which is what they do in New York City). I want my freedom.

Forcing people to share walls with their neighbors if they want a chance at living anywhere near gainful employment is some authoritarian bullshit. It's dystopian and it fosters unsafe living conditions. You shouldn't have to move to a rural location just to find decent living standards that are free of urban crime and big city bullshit. A decent suburb just outside of an urban center ought to be just fine. It's a nice compromise between being forced to share walls with your neighbors and living out in the middle of nowhere. I can't think of anything more dystopian than veing forced to live in a building where you'll have to share walls with your neighbors and get spied on by the financial firm that owns the building where you live

anywhere they can buy land, split it into plots and "triple" the value the developers will

honestly these exist due to stupid code enforcement; somehow complexes have to have elevator shafts, stairwells and parking garages built out of concrete for code but the structured part that houses people has no flashjoinery or welded seams; all made out of wood

its fucked up. require new builds for multifamily properties to be built out of concrete and you wouldnt see this type of bullshit

Nobody is putting a gun to your head and screaming "Live in the condo!"

Apartments just mean the land in the zipcode is so productive, it doesn't make sense for a single person - even a billionaire. I know you have a solipsistic point-of-view, but most people don't mind apartment living, or view the inconveniences as worth the location and career benefits. When some people make more money, they might move to a suburb and that's fine too.

Sorry, but you're not entitled to 10 acres in downtown Manhattan. And your desired policies lead to the Bay Area with its million dollar crack shacks such that everyone loses.

>Nobody is putting a gun to your head and screaming "Live in the condo!"
Yes they are, if that's the only kind of housing that extremist politicians will allow in the future. That is, in fact, what the plan is. Everyone in the future will be forced, LITERALLY FORCED because of the available housing options, to share walls with their neighbors whether they want to or not if they're going to live anywhere near gainful employment.
>solipisistic point-of-view
Not an argument. A lot of people find apartment living to be a low quality life style. It's nowhere near as superior as at least owning your own home. It's hard for me to buy that you're accusing me of being self-centered when all of these high density housing projects will be owned by faceless corporations that will be tied to the financial services industry.

There's nothing altruistic, collectivist, or conscientious-minded about housing development after housing development all owned by BlackRock with Amazon/Palantir doing surveillance and data mining of all the residents of every building.
This isn't even really about housing. It's about monopoly take over of housing.
Not everyone wants to live like that. You're trying to impose your contrived bullshit urban metropolitan "values" on everyone.

Sorry, but the financial firm that you want to take over the entire housing market isn't entitled to own every single family dwelling in the suburbs as well as every other Chinese style housing tower in the city. That's called a monopoly, and it needs to be broken up.

The Bay Area has its own unique problems, but they have high density housing and public transit. Silicon Valley tech workers and California style taxation are what's making it unaffordable there -- not leaving people alone to have housing options where they won't be forced to share walls with their neighbors.
>urban crime
Urban crime is literally linked to high population density. Don't be fucking obtuse about this.

>live anywhere near gainful employment.
You are reversing cause and effect. Apartments and townhouses pop up in places with gainful employment because that gainful employment makes central real estate so valuable it no longer makes sense to put SFHs on.

Your solipsism is that everyone despises apartments like you do. You're solipsistic because you can't imagine anyone not minding or genuinely liking it.

>muh blackrock
To be honest, having rented from mom&pops and corporate landlords, I will take corporate every single time.

>Bay Area
>high density
Don't make me laugh. The reason crackshacks in the Bay are so expensive is because CA NIMBYs make it impossible to build to even the density of Paris, let alone a Shenzhen that would make more sense for its level of economic activity.

Sorry, you're not entitled to 10 acres in Central Park by virtue of existing. Everything has tradeoffs in price, convenience, space, and career opportunities. There's usually something for everyone.

That design is decades old. The new developments are too expensive for foreigners. They get kicked out for noise or bringing in pets that are a nuisance. The fun ones are when the management almost gets attacked by a pitbull mix because the renter lied on the pet form. Instant eviction.

It’s a green zone anti-sprawl problem. Shift green zones further out around large urban areas/employment centres and reintroduce sprawl friendly policies with surface rail at car nodes to curtail some traffic problems.
