I had a friend with wife, wife's son, daughter, son. Didn't own a home. Badly wanted to own a home. Couldn't buy in 2020 with low interest rates. Votes Biden. Boarder opens up and millions of browns flood in. Homes skyrocket in cost with inflation. Leftists can't see how policies affect things as a whole. They see one issue and if it appears to be mean-spirited then they want it changed but they don't see how changing it affects society as a whole. They want immigrants because they feel sorry for them and want them to have a better life in America, but they fail to account for where they will live and how it will affect the cost of living. Rents skyrocket and leftists blame other people fo the problem.

This truly is one of the most paramount aspects of this entire discourse. It's simple supply and demand, and then to add insult to it, they likely get government assistance...You end up having established americans slaving away unable to buy houses... and they just get replaced by immigrants coming in and living in newer construction, driving newer cars, etc.
