Leftists are always bitching about "stolen land" and shit but Israel actually went and reclaimed their ancestral homeland after being driven out by "colonizers" and when the modern residents attacked them they fought back.

Just to be clear I do NOT support Israel, I'm not saying any particular thing they've done is correct, what I am saying is that what they've done is very leftist, ideologically speaking.

Maybe it's because leftists don't understand that actions have consequences?

Zionism is a European movement by ethnically European Jews to colonize a middle eastern region none of them have any real connection to. The Palestinians are the descendants of the ancient Israelites, the supposed exile by the Romans didn't happen. The supposed exile by the Romans is a fable, in reality the Jewish diaspora started to centuries before the uprisings, and was almost entirely people willingly leaving in search of economic opportunities elsewhere.

1) Israel is not a jewish nation. It is an *Ashkenazi* jewish ethnostate, with a history of treating other jewish populations within its borders as second class citizens at best, and secretly sterilizing them under the guise of medical treatment at worst.
2) The actual claim that the Ashkenazi jews have to the region is thin at best
3) Even if it was their natural homeland that they had a right to, that doesn't excuse their behavior since re-settling there. They would still be an authoritarian regime that is actively perpetuating a genocide and is entirely too comfortable with assassinating the heads of state of other nations, and is well on its way to being treated as a pariah entity by the rest of the world as the result of their own actions.

None of this is antisemetic in nature. I have friends that are of jewish descent, and if anything they hate Israel more than I do.

The Palestinians absolutely were Jews, and then they converted to Islam, along with pretty much all of the middle east and north Africa. Israel is a bunch of modern Europeans larping as a bronze age tribe and attacking the actual descendants of that tribe for still living where that tribe lived.
