It has become way more serious than any site on the Internet has any business of being.
Everyone takes themselves seriously. Everyone expresses serious opinions. If you're not going to be serious, you'd better either do it in the designated place or phrase it in a way that you don't hurt too many feelings.
That coupled with being quite mainstream at this point and everything just feels lame. Throw in tranny mods on top of that and you have a giant social engineering project.

They got taken over by glownigger somethingawful goons back in 2011-2012 or so. Somethingawful's first raid on that side would be over their r/jailbait subreddit, where supposedly one user among 10 in an inactive subreddit posted cheese pizza. They spammed the entire site and reported it to various media accusing reddit of hosting child pornography. It would later turn out that the cheese pizza was an inside job by a somethingawful poster, and that the material wasn't from some random goon's personal collection but from federal pizza databases.

They slowly began taking over all the big reddits with glowniggers coaching them through it all. Lots of blackmail was involved. This is the exact same era when that one co-founder eventually killed himself (and no, that story about how his legal problems were from downloading academic papers is a literal reddit tier front). Once they took over reddit they eventually took over the rest of the internet. This is all 2011, 2012. This is why people start noticing wokeness everywhere around 2013.
