With a $10,000 down payment, assuming a 5% down payment, which is extremely generous in the US market, let alone the UK market, you can get a mortgage for a property with a valuation of around $200,000.
At current average rates, for a 30-year mortgage you're looking at a monthly payment of somewhere in the ballpark of $1,900/mo.
UK mortgages are typically not fixed-rate, so this is subject to increase with inflation.

I've heard house payment are on par if not less than a typical apartment. I pay $1000 a month for a fairly shitty q 1 bedroom apartment. Ive heard of people paying less monthly for a 3 bedroom house. Paying sometimes just over $800 a month. seems way smarter to buy a house and make payments if you have a decent steady job in the area

No you just look for
A. a small flat, good number of which are below 50k
B. even the odd small house, a good number under 100k
C. land, 2 acres usually goes for 6k then a static caravan can be 10k so not much further to go.

The problem is that by the time you save up for a 20% deposit (or 10% if you want to pay for landers mortgage insurance), the housing prices have gone up so you can no longer afford it. Plus rent is usually more expensive than the repayments on a mortgage so saving in the first place is hard.

Sure I suppose. But it's one of those risks that yes theoretically something could happen and you'll come out at a loss but realistically you're probably fine. Like investing in the sp500, sure it could disappear over night but the odds seem so low its basically a no Brainer.
I still haven't bought a house Even though I have a decent job and over $80k in savings. Idk I guess I'm just risk averse. I only within the last year actually invested that money instead of sitting on it like a caveman

A house is an asset though. An apartment isn't. Every month you make a payment you are building equity that you can borrow against. Equity is literally how boomers built up all the wealth they have. Property ownership is still the number one way to achieve upward social mobility. That's why you should be doing everything you can to own property.

According to the UK office of national statistics, average rent in England is Β£1300/mo. I'll assume it's like half that for a 1-bed.
Maybe it's time for me to invest in UK property, because with a relatively small upfront investment of Β£30,000 I could be pulling $2000/mo forever in passive income.

Only problem with this is in America we have a lot of places with very cheap houses but no real jobs in the same area that could support such a payment. I'm in texas so it's a relatively good mix of cheap places outside of the cities where you can travel into and make a decent wage. Places like the Midwest are cheap because there are basically zero jobs and surrounded by crime. Nice safe places are almost always at least 100k more usually 200k or more

Damp is something you have to consider when living in the statics. A dehumidifier is definitely a thing you'll need. If you don't buy a completely shit one I doubt rot will be a problem. If you do find a leak, fix it quickly. Cl02 tablets in some water can fix mouldy or smelly spaces, so letting some off when you get the thing should make the air in it seem inert. You have to vacate whilst it's off-gassing though, otherwise you'll fuck your lungs.
