depends on whether you have a life or not. it isn't hard if you're good at driving, but it can be incredibly stressful dealing with the amount of retards on the road along with your faggot company micromanaging the fuck out of how you drive because of how expensive insurance is due to all the jeet drivers crashing and killing everybody

I would give it a go of it where you. Magnum transportation in fargo will train and even pay for a plane ticket and lodging if you're willing to get into one of their trucks. Solid company. I had to stop because I couldn't leave town for so long on account of harassment my sister was getting from her ex husband.

Space Force, cyber job, grab extra SDAP pay. You'll also get housing stipend early because there's not enough space in the barracks. Grab contactor job after they offer internship.

if you can so anything and are reasonably smart, start your own mobile oil change or mobile drain snaking business. very little cost for tools, can learn via youtube videos. call property managers for the latter and offer to undercut whoever they currently use.
unrelated,. a knockoff of RxBar would be good, but probably above your skill set.

for what it's worth, if you are a truck driver you can at least listen to audiobooks and podcasts (the good kind, not the slop kind) without interfering with your work...

My uncle did it, and he was never around, never could attend family meet ups, worked crazy hours, gone for weeks at a time, all while raising a family. He retired a bit ago, but regretted it and probably hates himself for having done it, self-justified through the lense of being the provider.
I guess it isn't a bad job for a loaner type, but if you want to have a life, it seems like a bad career choice.

That would be the best course of action if you get into it. In and out within a few years.

People also underrated the possibility of having a decent sum of money at your disposal. One thing I'd tell younger guys is to go do some kind of fairly well paying and usually tough job for a few years straight out of high school and get yourself a nice account balance. Makes all the difference when you're still early-20s and have money to your name.

get a stock of audiobooks, sort through them, you don't want to find out on the road that you only have shit and need to do something
get stoicism too as it will help you suffer the yoghurt-and-bread diet you need to conserve money
don't get hooked on meth or any other drugs
look into preventing hemorrhoids
it should be alright

Roehl Transport will train and pay you for it. I hear they're switching over to automatics though, which will easier on you will limit your license and experience. The contract is a certain distance driven. Quit before driving those miles, they'll make you pay the full training expense.

It's actually pretty great, but only if you commit. I was thinking of doing it but I don't know if I can do it. It's a different lifestyle. You live on the road. Truck stop food is the devil. Anything you can cook inside the truck is genius. Walk whenever possible. Never trust Google maps. If you are OTR, enjoy your six figs. If you are an owner operator, enjoy your $300k.

I don't fucking know, lol. I just know what I know from looking into it myself. That, and from family. Such as car transport trucks don't usually run the top states (North Dakota, etc.), usually. Best bet is to just call places. New drivers often have to ride bitch with another driver until their grace period or whatever is over.

If you don't give a shit and just want a place to stay out of jail any jew can have you working 24/7 no docking only moving.

If you don't want to be a slave then you will need to know how fast a tank will unload. This will require calc 1. Then you drive from house to house pumping out toilets for $2500 a stop. I don't make less than $10,000 day when I decide to work and I don't work for niggers because they never pay and force me to have a lawyer repo their car (now mine). I put them all on a trailer and resell them back to the bank.

big cost to get licensed. long hours that are pretty boring. it'll pay the bills and pays a bit more than construction grunt, but probably not a good work life balance long term unless you're doing short hauls.

I used to work in logistics. It's an incredibly difficult and stressful job. If you have a family it will be all the more so. If you're single with no kids and just want to bust your ass for a fat paycheck it's good, but it will take a toll on your mental and physical health over the years. A lot of it depends on your dispatch company, we were a small family owned business so it was pretty chill, a lot of the bigger ones will micromanage you.

I knew tons of owner-ops grossing $150-200k/yr working 8 months out of the year and then going back to Africa/Eastern Europe/SEA to live like kings during low season. This one Somalian I knew never graduated high school, subleased like 8 trucks to our firm in addition to working as an owner-op himself, brought over his brothers and cousins to drive them for peanuts and was clearing almost half a mil a year easy. Dude had 4 wives back in Somalia all rolling around in brand new Mercedes and BMWs.

That said in the ~3 years I worked that job we had two drivers die, one due to black ice, one had a heart attack. It's a weird feeling when one day a guy is hanging at the office shooting the shit and buying you lunch, and 2 weeks later you get a call from a random sheriff's deputy telling you he slid off the highway and burned to death.

They sure as shit have been trying. The vans are gettig automated but who cares about that? Thats where a lot of the idiot degenerates go. Almost all other trailer types are safe. Flatbed, tanker, grain, rock, bull, oversized. Most of those can not be automated as most require a degree off "hmmm this is not planned. How tf do i do this."

if you actually have a real CS 4 year degree and are still interested in it, I would for sure move to where the jobs are and pound the doors looking for any related work for a year at least, if no luck then trucking is a good option
