It's nice to hear a sound voice on here, they just seem to be lacking everywhere.
I've been voting since 2000. I've known of Trump since I was a kid back in the '80s. Always knew he was bottom of the barrel. Never thought I'd see conservatives openly backing the guy who was a Democrat all his life and ran in those circles.
Barry Goldwater once said, "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue." And I believe that. But what is extremism in pursuit of abolishing liberty? What good is fighting the good fight if you throw it behind someone who has absolutely no principles beyond himself?
The left has pushed so much shit that has to be pushed back against. I agree with that. But I guess I don't understand why this guy has to be the one to do it. He doesn't actually have a problem with what they push, he just says he does so people will give him power. He's the quintessential politician, and he'd throw us all under the bus if he thought it would get him more power.
And in the long run, what good is it if he ends up hurting the cause, fractures the right, and makes the left even stronger? Once he's gone, I have no doubt that happens.
