I did a bit of cooking in Germany when I was young. The kitchen manager was on heavy drugs, normally only used on patients in prison-like psychiatry wards, but he knew a doctor who gave it to him. When he didn't take his pills, he tried to hurt us, hot water, throwing knives. No one gave a fuck, this is standard kitchen behavior. The feral chefs in the media are products of this culture.
