He is right tho. Every citizen in every country have to pay hefty fees and taxes today for society to work. The tariffs that US citizens pay today are even to little if they are going to keep up with a respectable standard of living. Thats why most places with high taxes also are the best places to live. I was sort of waiting for a flat 25% tariff in The US, but it became a lot less than I expected.
If they had 25% it would have been the VAT that take or a lot of the basics everywhere else. But its a start.
