Oh boy, finally, a thread where my esoteric knowledge can shine.
So the reason he has a scythe is because he's Saturn, the scythe is for cutting Uranus's balls off.
Of course Zeus buttfucked him to death but we still have Saturday representing time, cycles, and of course, death.

As if anything existed before time (matter, energy, thought) it would rely on time to progress to make a thing happen so it could not have been "first".
