Why are movies about killing, shooting, bombing, burning, slashing, crushing, beating, humiliating Russians (and Nazis) so politically supported, artistically satisfying and, frankly, overwhelmingly popular?

>humiliating Russians and Nazis
russians = nazis

oh they are making a sequel. I couldn't watch the first one as I learned that they used a t-55 (A POST-WAR SOVIET tank) for the germans and that just rubbed my autism the wrong way so I never watched it. Didn't even know they are making a sequel.

A year or two ago, they kept advertising that movie at me. I just figured it came and went without making a splash. I guess it did well enough to merit a sequel?
No thanks. John Wick clones are getting exhausting. Action movies nowadays are just Bollywood dance routines with guns. Fuck off with that.

Sisu absolutely did not need a sequel. This existing retroactively ruins the first one

For good Finnish movies I can only recommend the work of Aki KaurismΓ€ki. For more action there is Aku Louhimies (Mostly just The Unknown soldier (2017)) but I look forward to his Lapland war project coming next year. Ignore slop by the sisu director (Jalmari helander) and do not under any circumstances be baited into watching the Kalevala movie coming next year by Antti Jokinen. It's a total mess of a movie and very likely a scam to leech of government grants.

I just hope it's not preachy or trying to 'dunk' on 'le ebil nazhees!'. Instead I hope he actually takes the bold position to portray our betrayal of the germans accurately and as a painful moment in our history. From the publicly available comments it does seem like it will be the latter but we will see.
again DO NOT be baited into watching next years kalevala movie it's a complete shitshow and should be cancelled, it's beyond saving.
