>How do you know?
According to my calculations, there's probably 50-100 million people in USA whose livelihood depend on continuously dumping truckloads of fake money onto the economy. Mostly tax paid jobs, but also indirect jobs that come from it. Families put food on there tables in this fucked up way, but it's the reality.
If you cut the flow of fake money overnight, it's a massive short term disruption. People can't easily find a new job overnight, especially simultaneously. Even if it 'should' stabilize in the following year(s) or decade(s), the socioeconomic impact might have long-lasting consequences.
