Is it true, the U.S government has no jurisdiction to force private American companies to stop outsourcing to India or serving in India?

I'm sure the government has broad latitude to twist company's arms with regard to this sort of thing if they can make the case that it's deleterious to the interests of the United States, especially on national security grounds

the US government has absolute jurisdiction over the private sector given that a corporation cannot exist without the government's consent. google can be easily nationalized given there's adequate will to do so

Wrong. Jewgle is going to get forcibly coordinated NatSoc style and they're just going to have to live with it.

picrel is a smoothbrain. trump could shut down 95% of outsourced tech jobs by invoking consumer privacy or security concerns, e.g., jeets may not handle any banking information of us nationals as it poses a threat to the national security of the usa. potus can literally do this overnight.

Is this jeet, SkinDoctor13, a lawyer? Who is he to say this? This is the problem with jeets, they are just awful at making things up.

No it's not true, OP.

What about Apple? Refusing to play give keys to FBI? I get that FBI order is different from "policy" but don't they fall on some similar grounds?

Nope. The US government can and does ban companies from doing business in the USA for any and all reasons. Nothing prevents Trump from shutting down and killing any company that has a single Indian on staff.

>Google can be nationalized
It was from the get go. DARPA quite literally provided the seed funding and the government has had them by the balls ever since.

This. Then he could place tariffs on specific companies (if you can carve out exceptions for specific companies you can do the inverse) he can revoke business licenses, grants, and credentials. He can freeze all the companies and executives funds for “supporting terrorism” because he can determine any group to be terrorists. On and on and on. He can literally drone strike the companies and their executives, LEGALLY.

Apple “refused” to give up the keys, and then magically the FBI opened it the next day, and the FBI never said anything bad about Apple. Amazing how that works.

You haven't been paying attention to Trump 2.0, have you. He doesn't need no stinking badges

Most companies in the US can only survive because they get funded partly by the state so yeah Trump has quite some leverage
