Adults who play with toys
Theres an agenda in the West to make adults think and act as children. Look at this new Lego ad for adult kids

1) Adults are free to have hobbies, it reduces boredom and expends energy in a way that's not criminal or bothering anyone. It builds creativity that could be harnessed by industry.

2) Fuck Tom Holland I'm not watching anything with his gay ass in it after he ruined Spider-Man.

adults having lego as a hobby is fine, it's been a thing for decades
the problem comes from the rampant consooming that lego has been pushing and the paypigs who gleefully eat it up
i see lego lasting maybe 10 more years at the trajectory it's currently going at, catering exclusively to adults and kids with rich parents is not a viable long term strategy for a toy company

Boomer collectibles are worthless:

>Stamps.
>Train sets.
>Sports cards
>Elvis memorabilia.
>Coins.

Stamp collections are entirely worthless unless you have a sought-after 1 in a billion stamp which they don’t.

Nobody wants old train sets other than elderly dying autists.

Boomers made their kids buy and protect sports cards thinking it would pay for their kids’ college or retirement. All sports cards are now worthless with a few rare exceptions. You can buy sports cards today for a lower price on ebay than people were paying even without adjusting for inflation at card shops in the 80s and 90s.

Elvis is a literal who to anyone younger than 40.

Coins outside of error strikes are worth melt value.

After having been both a kid and an adult, Lego is an adult toy. As an adult, I can appreciate them as art. Plus it's something I can do myself when I have some downtime and want a low effort, quiet recreational activity.

As a kid Legos were always a major fucking disappointment. "Hey little Jimmy so we didn't buy you a toy. Instead, we bought you these random bricks which you may assemble into a cheap approximation of a toy that you actually wanted." And then you'd step on one getting out of bed and that was the first time you contemplated suicide. Fuck Lego. Buy me an action figure you cheap bastards.

Why do these people keep buying new lego sets? When I was a little kid, I learned that once I had enough indivodual legos, I could build practically anything with a little bit of imagination and design planning. I remember building whole lego cities, castles that looked ALMOST as good as that one, and other shit just with my own fun designing. I huilt a knockoff deathstar at one point too.

I feel like I am one of the last Aryan souls left on this earth.

Idk, man. I just work on my cars and bikes, but I'm pretty sure they're just distractions from doing things that actually matter, like building a family or finding a career. It doesn't feel any different than Legos. I'm not even good enough at my hobbies to get a job doing it. If I didn't spend at least a little time doing that shit, I would be spending it here instead.

I'm someone from a typical sample set who played with legos as a kid and not an adult. And I can see both sides of it.
First of all, is it "ok" to play with legos as an adult? sure. you could be doing a lot worse of things than building legos. Personally, I don't think I could be satisfied with legos as a hobby because the output is a lego structure that you can't even give most people as a gift.
I have a friend who runs a business, has two kids and a ram truck who likes to relax by building legos. So I can understand his legacy is being built elsewhere and it's definitely a better way to unwind than drinking beer and watching TV like a typical guy would. And when his kids are old enough he can play it with them, as we all know kids love legos.
