Because he's tough on immigration. That's literally it. He only got voted in because of illegals. Democrats went into every one of their debates with him with rehearsed lines, talking points, statistics, etc, and they all got shut down by "Yeah but what about the illegals lol".

The economy died before trump took office. We are picking up the pieces and using faked metrics to boost our economy atm. The elites wanted the economy to tank under a dem led gov to reconstruct with their favorable options. Trump winning killed their hopes so they are pushing it back to 2026 if he is a lameduck or 2028 if repubs keep house and senate.
But, be ready for a total collapse. All the think tanks and elite symposiums planned for 2030 as the year for total economic failure. But these models were made around late 2000s so they might push up the date if it is favorable.
