Millennials were shafted more than any generation. No, not the trustfund neponiggers and HR sluts, I mean the actual people (who didn't get addicted to the litany of hard drugs developed developed since the 80s). We were promised a new world. We were told that together, we could all see peace and prosperity without shit like skin color making a difference. Maybe gen alpha will see it (once all the races finish mixing together), but millennials all have back pain now by and large. Grays in our hair, and some even have wrinkles. Gen X became boomer lite and most of them are doing fine as they near retirement, or inherit their Greatest or Boomer Gen parents' wealth. Millennials won't get to see retirement. We'll have to slave same as it's always been. Gen Z and Alpha don't have to work; they're too weak and scared, yet they talk big shit on the internet. By the way, only a retard would take someone's claims of wealth on the internet at face value. These fucking asshole cryptkeepers really kicked the can down the road until millennials were too old and apathetic to really fight back. Now those of us that didn't fully drink the kool-aid have to depend on, of all people: Donald Trump (a boomer), to stop dangling the carrot and give us a fair swing at life before we succumb to state enforced turbocancer. Wish in one hand, shit in the other, am I right?
Fuck em all, says I.
>inb4 at least you had a childhood
You don't even have a semblance of what it's like to have that kind of world taken from you and replaced with what we have now. Your hurt is trivial in comparison, which is why Gen Z will always be ankle-biting faggots. Boomers and Gen X get no pity from me either in this regard, because at least they're all well off. They own a vehicle, a house, a 401k, health benefits, all that shit that keeps them out of the bread line.
Fuck em.
Fuck em.

everyone looks at the boomers and expects the same kind of entitlement.
but that entitlement was borne out of the greatist generation.

quit thinking that you are entitled.
if you want a new world I suggest you start thinking about how to build a new society instead of bitching about the old one.
the powers that be will only give you performative appeasement while the old society trusges on.
why would boomers want to change society when it benefits them?
just start or join a fucking commune and try to learn from mistakes from the past.
quit spending all this time on the internet, just bitching about things.
no one is going to solve your problems for you.
and if your problems are so great then maybe need need to blow up wallstreet instead of just occupying it.

Consider investing when possible. Sure it can feel miserable at times but if life is already bad, at least it's bad with a chance you scale your earnings further. I've experienced those 10x moments multiple times just by not giving up. Pretty good feeling and I'm not some high IQ, all A's kind.

This might be the worst part about being a millenial. We grew up seeing our parents live decent enough lives and own homes and we thought we'd have that, too. Then we got perma-fucked by 2008. At least zoomers realized how bad things really were before they graduated high school.

They deliberately made sure that they would retain total voting dominance over all other demographics their entire life, hoarded all the wealth for the sole purpose of spending it on disposable crap from China.
"Keeping up with the Jones's", which to the Boomers means deliberately kneecapping every aspect of their children's lives from the moment they were born so as to feel superior into your senility.

They will go down as the destroyers of civilizations. All institutions have been so thoroughly poisoned there is no remedy but tabula rasa. They have been committing every possible crime since for decades with no consequences.

Fuck Boomers. Historians will spit on your names.

Milennials who played their cards right are living it up right now, building castles and porking zoomer women. And I'll always be grateful to JK Rowling and Radcliffe for making bushy guys with glasses a sex icon for a while.
Babby alphas are the ones to be pitied, because generations follow a based/onions/based/onions pattern. They'll be the new millennials, but with none of the perks.

Millenials had the greatest childhood of all time just to be thrown into a corporate hellscape like no other.
Every Millenial I know is still reeling from their god-tier childhood, most of them are either NEET or STILL just getting off their feet into the working world.
The only Millenial I know that actually rents a home is renting from his boomer dad for a reduced rate.

Their childhood set their standards so high for the world that they didn't know how to accept that it's all downhill from there. Imagine seeing Nirvana, NIN, the advent of gaming and technology, but suddenly seeing all those innovations slowly corrode the adult world as you are growing into it.

Millennials are split. Those of us born in the 80s are completely different from those born in the early 90s. If you were born before 85, you were 23 years old when the 08 crash hit. You were 25 when housing and land was at rock bottom prices. The absolute perfect time to buy a house. If you had been making money before it crashed, you were set for life if you bought land with your money.

I'm the first millennial, born in 81. I was 29 when property hit rock bottom in 2010. You could buy beach front property for 5% of what it is now worth. We also had the last generation of females not destroyed by social media. If you are an old millennial you had access to the best of women and the housing market. But, you had to be positioned right to capitalize on it. We had a short window of time where it was the best ever to move up in the world, then it was quickly gone. I feel bad for the later millennials and the zoomers, they never really got a chance. But, us older millennials were handed a great opportunity, even if we were too young to understand it at the time.

Ontologically speaking, millenials lived through the best times in US history, best healthcare, far lower cancer rates because of advances in medicine and technology, instant food even if its shitty fast food, smartphones. In my opinion millenials were spoiled rotten and the smart phones ruined communication between people, turned everyone into selfish dickheads.

I knew boomers who did this to their kids, they went as far as to cause an industrial accident for one (which fucked him up for life) in an attempt to make him dependent on them. He killed himself. The other kid? They framed their other kid for a crime, and he’s still in prison. They openly brag about it on kikebook and at grill parties with other boomers, that’s how everybody in town knows he got framed. The boomers in court were ferocious and they are extra biased against boomers’ opponents. You won’t get a fair trial.

If I could ask just one question- just one- it would be:
>for all of this, what the fuck did they get in return?

Yeah boomers have no idea what its like to be in our shoes. They grew up watching Fred Flinstone and the Jetsons while buying their ford mustang fastback for 4 thousand dollars over the summer and buying a 45 thousand dollar house in the same summer. Why should we work as hard as them when we get fucked either way? Making it today in America is paying your bills, your rent, utilities, food, gas and still being in the black financially after each month. That's winning at life.

It was, it was extreme materialism. I had a great family and childhood and it was very materialistic. I can remember getting a NES for Christmas in 1986. My father drove all over the state to find one. My dad had a new corvette when they came out with the new body style in 84. We had a new Lincoln town care, a new Chevy truck, a new Ranger bass boat, a new Winnebago, we had the new Honda Magna motorcycle, I had a new Honda CR80 at eight years old. My parents gave me a Ruger 10/22 rifle when I was 9 years old. I learned how to tie a string around the bolt and trigger to make it "fully automatic" then I would fill a plastic coke bottle with toilet paper, tape it over the end of the barrel, get on my dirt bike and ride all over town with a fully automatic silenced rifle strapped to my back at 8 years old. No one ever said anything. I would pick up the blonde haired blue eyed neighbor girl on my not street legal dirt bike, with a loaded makeshift fully automatic silenced rifle strapped to my back, ride to the beach and build fires, at 9 years old. I'm 44 now and if I did what I did at 9 years old today, I would spend ten years in jail.

No, it wasn't street legal at all. And, yes, I took my rifle, with the coke bottle taped to the end, all over the place. I lived along the gulf coast in the deep south. I could ride my dirt bike to the local store and buy ammo for my gun, at 9 years old. No one said anything or even looked at me weird. Sometimes old guys would tell me good luck on squirrel hunting. And, I would often ride around with the neighbor girl on the back, with the rifle. In the fall we would ride to the beach, swim in the gulf, come out cold and shivering, build a fire right on the beach and sit there. Adults would see us two little kids collecting palm fronds for our beach fire and not say anything. That was normal things then where I lived.

Boomers have a unique main character syndrome that makes them have to be the center of the universe forever. It comes from a monoculture that was enslaved to TV, to heros in capes, good guys and bad guys.

They will never mentally pass the torch to their kids, because doing so means that the hero dies. That they weren't the chosen one. That no one is.

Millennials got a whiff of that simplicity but the internet+ a broken social contract post "Reaganomics". It's what makes us cringe. We are still do gooders in a chaotic world, striving for something but knowing it's a scam on a deeper level, keeping up the facade...
But we have seen beyond it now, it's why the matrix was such a phenomenon, why "red pill" stuck as a meme. When the internet came, it opened our eyes to so many realities that terrible nihilism sprung from the meaningless.

It's why the right is winning in politics, they want to go back, put back the cape, the Christianity, the good and bad guys, the heroic individual. And boomers/xers love it, gen z are enticed by it.

Millennials know how the pendulum swings. But all we do is watch.

And in a strange way, I don't blame for them for acting they way they do cause if our generation had shit handed to them and you could get a high paying job just by shaking a managers hand we'd be glad to have that. Today the world is so different Its not even comparaible. The 4th industrial revolution is here to stay, A.I. has changed jobs and soon humans won't even be needed to be hired at fast food or other places cause robots will do it for free, and it will cut out the middle man.

Yep, that too. The social contract was in place, as long as you just clocked in to even the most basic job, you could buy a house cash with saving in about 2 years. It's an average of 17 years now.
Boomers worked, not hard, not under terrible conditions, but they worked like clockwork, because they knew it paid off.

It's mostly gone, but there are still small enclaves where it still exists, somewhat. I still live in a small gulf coast town. The neighbor girl who used to ride around with me on the illegal dirt bike, gave me four sons. My sons can't ride around on illegal dirt bikes or carry rifles, but they can still ride their bicycles all over town and down to the beach. My oldest son got his driver's license this week. He took his truck out on the beach tonight "shark fishing" which really means just partying on the beach with a fire. Thier life isn't quite like mine was, but it's pretty close.

All you have to do was save money working any job and invest from 2010-2019. After 2020 you would practically have a retirement level worth of savings in stock and crypto if you had half a brain but no, you wanted to prance around like a faggot on Instagram back in the early 2010's cause you were "promised a better future". Before the meme of viewing your own kids as competition, sabotaging them as they grew up and then throwing them out the second they hit eighteen even the most humble of families would try to push whatever wealth they had down to their kids to let it grow generationally, social mobility was an actual thing. The greatest goal you had as a parent was for your kid to live a better life than you and, failing that, the same life. If you had a trade you'd apprentice them in it, if you had a home they lived in it with you until they got married and you, alongside all the other parents would try to get your children together so that they could build families.
The only exceptions were the genuinely damaged people who could not function at all. The bottom fifth of men got with the bottom fifth of women, rather than the women getting high on their own delusions of maybe being some 1%ers one night stand and slowly going crazy from their own self imposed loneliness.
You treated your kids right because you also knew that one day you'd depend on them once you were no longer able and more than likely move back in with them. But hey I guess getting abused in a care home is more attractive.

To give the devil his due, it's not difficult to understand why boomers didn't use their power to create generational wealth. If you've grown up in a world since birth where work was always easily acquired and well paid, where the houses were always cheap, the television in your living room always told you that you're the best and it looked like it was just going to be onwards and upwards forever, then yeah, it's somewhat understandable that they never saw beyond their own noses.

I sometimes contemplate if in the next 20-30 years or so, if/when the shit truly does hit the fan and we're all living in post-apocalyptic Fallout/Stalker/Children of Men type of world, if the children and grandchildren of millennials will look back on us and wonder why we didn't just put everything into gold, land, guns, medicine, farming, etc. when it was still possible to acquire such things. Sure they might have been difficult and expensive to acquire in these times, but only relative to the boomers. In the future it's entirely possible that those things will quite simply be impossible to get.

The past 70 years or so have been a brief golden age for the western world, the likes of which have never been seen before. The vast, vast majority of human history has been a tale of violence, starvation, scarcity, disease, and death. Millennials may be as blind as the boomers, just on a broader time scale. Time will tell.

I think it's their self-centered nature not to even consider legacy. Millennial children were made to complete their white picket fence diorama, not to build empires with.

In a world of plenty that sort of strenuous farsightedness would seem unnecessary. Also they were the first generation of peasants having plenty, no lineage of ansestors telling them that good times come and go.

I’m a millennial and I think the zoom zooms got pozzd by society and we were too young to help them. Gen X and us remember the analog world. We have wisdom and Gen Z is acquiring wisdom. We might not exist in 60 years. It still matters to carry the fire for others. If Gen Z does we can just die and hand it off to them. If not then we pass it over to another generation. We have memories of the pre-9-11 world. We know how good things can be. We really heard stories of real hardship and sometimes pre-industrial life from our grandparents. That pain you speak about is our burden. We remember the old world. We were promised a future without history and lost of Chinese pussy and riches. We were dupped into becoming wage slaves and chronically online /pol/tards. You say we have pain, I agree. For Gen Z not knowing truly how good things were is the definition of “ignorance is bliss”. I’m on my 2nd grocery outlet $5.99 pinot and only have myself as a companion. I have gray hair. I think I have cancer but my female doctor won’t even touch me to find out. Other than that he didn't ever say much about the war. Every once in a while he would make a reference about how hunting and killing deer was similar to hunting and killing people. Remember the rain forest

We were going to save the rainforest. We had a list of priorities we were going to fix it was like
1. Rainforest
2. Dolphins
3. Sea turtles
4. AIDS
5. Hunger war etc

We were the super generation that would inherit powerful technology in a world without war, and things would only ever keep getting better for everyone, especially us, because we were going to be so heroic and fix so much. The speed of technological development was actually increasing. Fusion power soon, cooperation between many nations. White skyscrapers gleaming and people walking in star trek jumpsuits had to be coming. That was the only future. The cold war? Hah, what a stupid time.

In some ways I am still that person. I think without the optimistic spirit it gifted me, hopelessness would have long taken me away. It is absolutely unthinkable to see how many people our age have died to drugs or otherwise just become wash outs. People even slightly younger seem retarded and antisocial.

I miss making that paper maiche rainforest full of animals. Surely we were going to save the world. We even had CD-ROM. We were the last people to see the real world before the artificial cover was applied. Now AI will eliminate both reality and history. I feel like one day I will be one of the only people who remembers the real world, and the real future that humanity had earned.

This is where you fail in your understanding; that world you saw, that sanitized, commercially produced world viewed through the lens of curated television was fake. That hope for a better future was simply the government messaging of the time.

What happened next was cellphones achieved mass adoption, every retard gained the ability to blurt out their intellectual diarrhea on a global stage and we saw the world for what it really was; a ball full of hate. The vibe shift was immediate and tenable.

One day you will be one of the only people who remembers that fake TV world made by western corporations before we got the real world filled with niggers, indians and fentanyl peddling chinks.
