They still happen from time to time. Up in the rural Canadian towns. When your only law enforcement is the RCMP and they don't do fuck all, sometimes the town takes matters into its own hands.

The government was always very incompetent in handing out justice.
So instead of the rapist of your daughter getting sent to jail for a couple years and then released to live a normal life like nothing ever happened, people would instead grab their family members and go hang the nigger and end his worthless life right there.

I saw a lynching happen once. It happened because the guy gave a teenage girl who never did any drugs at all, not even something small like weed, fentanyl. So the people got all very angry and chased him into the street and he got surrounded and lynched. The point is to kill people who have permanently destroyed the lives of others through horrendous acts like rape, drugging, murder, etc.
