As of right now they're not a major criminal element (at least where I live). I'm sure they were a major issue in Miami in the 80s. Americans literally made video games, movies and TV shows about how much of a problem the Russians (all Eastern Europeans), Jews and Cubans were in Florida in the 80s.

Like, if you try speaking to a Ukrainian in English they'll literally just give you a dirty look, then walk away. They treat Americans like garbage. You go to their little enclaves and there will be 100 Ukrainian flags and not a single USA flag. When they go shopping they're rude to the clerk and just point at the shit they want and give an attitude. Total doucebags with no etiquette.

Meanwhile, the Russians and Serbians in the same area don't fly their flags at all. They'll speak to you in the best English they can. They show respect. They say please and thank you to the point where it's obvious. The Serbians have even offered me free coffee and stuff.

When I travel to Japan, I try to speak Japanese as much as I can, even if it's terrible. I show respect. I dont go to Japan waving an American flag and being rude to them. The Ukrainians have no respect.
