The article is pretty easy to understand. US consumers eat massive amounts of beef, but cattle herds are falling in size in the US. Therefore in order to meet US appetites for beef, much of it has to be imported from overseas, specifically from Brazil and Australia.

Brazil has a tariff of 50%, Australia has a tariff of 10%. So necessarily beef sold in the US will be in large part imported and significantly more expensive than it was in the past. So basically if you eat meat, you're going to pay significantly more thanks to Trump.
