Did you know that they are prepairing experiments right now try to prove a universal consciousness, working on a quantum level, that all animals including humans connect to with microtubuals and specialized proeteins in our neurons that act as antennas to this quantum consciousness.

Okay, so ignore religions for the moment and focus on pure philosophy and thought. Deep inside yourself in the foundations of your belief, do you think you are purely physical and the only thing that exists are physical things, or do you think there's more to the world than the material? This is the dividing line between religious people of all kinds and atheist/materialists.
That's the reason why people believe in religions, anyway. They find the materialist argument to be lacking so they want a more complete worldview.
