Gambling is for people with disposable income and Americans today live pay check to pay check.

Fremont street is free to walk around and check out street performers and nightly concerts, the strip is free to walk around check out different sights and scheduled outdoor water/fire shows, the casinos themselves are free to walk in and look at all the botanical gardens and circus acts and themed art/statues/decor, literally all you have to do is not sit in front of the boomer social security extraction machines and you can have a good time for the cost of lodging, food and travel. That being said, these experiences are fun once and you don’t need to come back

The games don't pay out much anymore because they got greedy. If you combine that with people having less disposable income then the future of Vegas looks dire.

They need to make it a place with convention centers surrounded by affordable brothels and Asian massage parlors. Going there for any other reason is a waste of time.

Gen Y/Z do in fact gamble, but they don't need to travel to a city to do so. They can just pull out their phone and gamble while on the shitter. You can also argue video games and their various Lootboxes/gatchas/random rewards also fill the niche of gambling for the "younger" generations.
