China isn't really Communist anymore. The CCP may have a Leninist party structure but China itself operates a state-capitalist system where private enterprises exist. If it was truly a Communist state said enterprises would all be nationalized, but China's willing to liberalize its economy (if not yet any other facet of its society).

There are more than two ideologies. There are more than three of four, even, for the D00ginists in the back.

There's a great irony to be found in the fact that western leftists spent the past 3 decades claiming that the USSR wasn't REAL communism, and now we see right-wingers doing the exact same thing with China. There were two rival Republic of Chinas. There was the one that was created after the revolution in 1912 based in Beijing.

And there was the rival KMT one created by Borodin and Sun Yat Sen in Guangzhou in the 1920’s which was created almost totally in Borodin’s image.

Both claimed the 1911 revolution but beyond that had nothing to do with one another, and only the one in Beijing had any international recognition. The two rival governments fought a war called the Northern Expedition which ultimately resulted in the KMT winning and international recognition was switched to the KMT regime in 1928.
