We've already been doing a Satanic Panic for a while now. It's not like most people calling themselves Christians have a respectable understanding for "Satanism" anyway. They won't read any of the books they deem "Satanic", so why should we listen to anything they say?

To begin, apocryphal texts are important to understand. Calling them all "Satanic" is clearly derived from Catholic propaganda machinations. The idea that Jesus is a Bridegroom and Mary the Magdalene was Sophia, his Bride, is incredibly important to grasp as your understanding of Christianity expands. The reason it's being designated "Satanic" is because of what this reveals and undermines in present Christianity. If the Catholics knew "Mary" was the wrong Mary this whole time, they'd hardly be able to handle it.
