Stages of psychology and society
You start in anarchy and then people have Stockholm syndrome psychologically for whoever provides for or protects them. That's stage 1. This coincides with later institutions of marriage and monarchy built on top of economic progress and currency or other money mechanisms.
Stage 2 is when people become mostly narcissistic. Narcissism is what slowly makes the public immune to Stockholm syndrome and coincides with equality movements and taking down monarchs or even oligarchs. There's lots of examples, basically every tragedy and misstep of the colonial or modern era of people not being really prepared to do what they want to yet because they don't really know anything, but they do know that neither really do the monarchs or the men get it perfect. This coincides with perfecting agriculture and logistics and also generally bilinguality communication and eventually oil etc energy.
Stage 3 is what we're in since the 90s and the matrix basically marked the cultural shift. If you'll recall Keanu was actually just a comedian as a teen. That stage is to be a child at heart. Being a child at heart makes you immune to narcissism as much as narcissism makes you immune to Stockholm syndrome. Kids these days admitting out right they don't know fuck about anything at least means they wouldn't strike out in some kind of way or enterprise like they know better or believe that the trappings of modernity are even actually all "goods" and not slow poisons or weights on them. This coincides with Internet and sustainable energy generation plus the permanent stagflation stage of fiat you may or may not know has begun now.
That's all observations. Normally I would add commentary on top of it about the past or future but I'm just presenting this for now. It's as obvious as shit freud said so I don't need to support it.
