They were switching departments every week and tweeting about the obviously fake stuff they “found” just to make Trump supporters feel vindicated. Audits of enormous agencies or companies by experienced teams of auditors take months, sometimes years. So you really think a few 21 year olds did it in like six weeks? The problem with the entire initiative was that there isn't THAT much waste in the government assuming you don't want to cut any functionality from it or reform some departments etc.
