I grew up in an upper middle class high trust neighborhood. I did not see any niggers in elementary or jr high.The only niggers I saw were in special ed classes and were retarded. They weren't mixed in with the regular students so I rarely saw them . I would say 9th grade freshman year when I was introduced to niggers in a public setting is when I realized so 2001. They would treat gym class like game 7 of the NBA finals and be willing to throw hands over a pickup basketball game. They were disruptive and would steal anything you didn't have locked up (and even steal things you did lock up).
We were told to buy a school lock to lock our belongings in for gym class. A nigger lied to the gym teacher, told him he forgot his lock combination, and made the gym teacher cut open my lock and the nigger stole my navy blue gym shorts. I didn't know who stole them at first until days later when I saw a nigger wearing my shorts. After that day I saw this nigger several more times and each time he was wearing my shorts. I don't think he had any other clothes because he wore those shorts everyday until I eventually stopped seeing him. I had plenty more pairs of shorts but the effort he went through to break into a random locker (there was no way he could've known what was in it) to only find an unwashed old pair of shorts, then wear them daily, has always stuck with me.

I wanna say by the time I was in middle school it became obvious to me why blacks are looked so down upon. The childlike innocence was wearing off and I started to acknowledge the obvious reality, they smell bad, aren't too bright and look down on anyone in their tribe who strives to actually educate themselves. 15 or 16 and it actually wasn't due to a big crime incident or anything, it was seeing the DVD cover of picrel at Walmart. I don't care about the original Annie movie at all, but looking at this I realised how typical it all was. I could tell by my dad's face that he knew exactly what I was talking about but was terrified to say anything about it.

My parents moved and we temporarily had to stay in an apartment while they found a new house. It wasn't a black problem where I lived, rather a Turkish problem, but I learned that in elementary school. Turks are way less problematic, but even that was still obvious. Pretty much everyone was aware of the obvious racial difference, it was a very different time.
